About the Role
In this role as Principal Software Engineer, you are supporting the EU System Engineering team in the area of in Key Management and Provisioning. You will be responsible for the concept of key handling in dedicated projects and for the alignment on system and software integration strategies. You are guiding and supervising the progress together with project and technical leaders as well as with the related functional owners.
What You Will Do
- Work actively in the “Systems Engineering Key-Management” within the Systems Engineering Team
- Design of software architecture for applications and modules required for handling and storing of secure key material.
- Co-work on RFI/RFQ evaluation for Harman customers.
- Clarify the requirements and design with customer as well internally at Harman with system/software architects of other SW domains and production department.
- Create and maintain architecture documents (HDD/CDD)
- Align on and document the system and software integration strategies.
- Co-work with project leader, functional owner and technical leader by supervising and supporting the software development team..
- Support and collaborate with related domains and departments like Security, IOC, Network, AME etc.
What You Need
- Bachelor or Master degree in computer science or equivalent
- Proven knowledge of C++ and experience in software development for Linux.
- Experience in component architecture
- Knowledge of software modelling tools
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Basic experience in production processes and diagnostics
- Basic Autosar/IOC experience
- Proficiency in Python scripting.
- Understanding of design patterns and their application in software development.
- Competence in Docker containerization.
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration principles and tools.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities
- Self-driven, autonomous and systematic way of working
- Fluent English communication skills both written and verbal
What is Nice to Have
- Familiarity with TEE/TrustZones
- Familiarity with HSM/HSE
- Experience with Cryptography.
- Experience with RestAPI development.
- Familiarity with Google Test for unit testing.
- Experience with Yocto and recipe creation.
- Knowledge in Ethernet, TCP/IP networking, IPC mechanisms
