What makes someone choose one company over another? Pay, benefits, training, work satisfaction, culture? What if you can have it all? At G2 Ops, we have extremely competitive pay and benefits but that is not even the best part. Our culture is what sets us apart from other companies. With us, you will not be another payroll number or a cog in the machine. We provide great value to our customers by working as a team and ensuring every member is set up for success. Our team approach allows for each member to not only provide value with their expertise but also gives them the opportunity to cross-train in other areas in which they have an interest.
Embracing AI. G2 Ops stays ahead of the competition by embracing the latest technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI). We are looking for team members who are excited to explore and implement AI solutions that can improve internal workflows and deliver superior results for our clients. Whether you are reducing manual processes or developing predictive models, we provide the tools and support to make AI an integral part of your work.
Let's talk salary. The annual salary range for this position is $140,000 and goes up to $180,000, based on your qualifications. We also offer a competitive benefits package and have fringe benefits offered throughout the year. The benefits package value ranges from $13,000 for a single employee, and up to $28,000 for an employee and their family. With company standard annual performance reviews in place, plus excellence awards for recognition, your performance will be rewarded and appreciated, we promise!
So, you want to work from home? Let's be honest, remote work is not always all it's cut out to be. At G2 Ops, we offer a flexible schedule to meet the needs of our employees and customers. Due to the classification level of the projects we support, we are not able to offer fully remote opportunities at this time. As a Defense Contractor, we are frequently working with sensitive material, and therefore, we need to ensure where you access your work is secure. You will have a shiny desk at our G2 Ops office, plus the opportunity to work at a military site directly with our customers (this is a good thing!). We do allow teleworking with prior approval, but supporting the DoD, you will be required to work at a military site as well. Here's the thing, we have worked very hard to create an awesome culture where our employees get to come to a collaborative, exciting office environment and we want you to join the fun!
Still not convinced? Allow us to elaborate. For this contingent opportunity, We’re seeking a talented Principal Software Engineer who are well-versed in the V-model of software engineering, from requirements analysis and design to integration, testing, and deployment. If you have experience working with NAVWAR’s system of systems or in similar defense environments, you understand the importance of applying rigorous standards while driving innovation in software development. Join our team and help shape the future of the Navy’s software capabilities, ensuring the security, interoperability, and performance of mission-critical systems.
What Does This Mean to You? This role is more than just a technical opportunity—it’s a chance to shape the future of engineering within the Navy. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the transformation of NAVWAR’s software development processes, ensuring they align with established policies, guidelines, and industry best practices. Your contributions will help define the standards for secure, high-performance, and mission-critical software systems.
By joining our team, you’ll have the opportunity to directly influence NAVWAR’s strategic objectives through the continuous improvement of engineering practices. You will be at the forefront of adopting and advancing modern software development methodologies, ensuring that all development activities are streamlined, secure, and scalable. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing the Navy’s systems and capabilities, supporting the warfighter’s needs, and strengthening national defense. In this role, you’ll not only support the Navy’s immediate needs but also help set the stage for future innovations, ensuring long-term success in delivering secure, efficient, and interoperable software solutions that meet the Navy’s evolving mission requirements.
Lastly, as we are working for the DoD, we are beholden to some requirements. The ideal candidate would already possess an active DoD Secret level clearance. A Master's in quantitative field such as engineering or mathematics (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems) is preferred. Ideally, the candidate has experience with applying programming concepts in a professional or academic setting and applying modern software development methodologies (e.g. agile, DEVOPS/DEVSECOPS) in a professional or academic setting. They would also possess an Agile Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification.
Quick Reminder, we are seeking a full-time team member; the continuation of outside employment shall not constitute a conflict with the Company’s interest, including performing work for a customer or competitor.
