The InterSystems IRIS Data Platform is the foundation for industry-leading applications with demanding scalability, resilience, and high availability requirements. Quality Development helps deliver on that promise by subjecting the product to intense scrutiny and extreme workloads.
The Systems group is looking for a self-motivated software engineer in test (SEIT) / software development engineer in test (SDET) to complement a talented and collaborative team with your experience, skills, and creativity. As a Principal Quality Development Engineer, you'll act as the product’s first customer in a customer-first company. You’ll provide early feedback on new features and advocate for the best user experience, from design through implementation to deployment.
You’ll acquire expertise on features and the code that implements them in close partnership with Development. You will craft functional, integration, and stress tests, automating them whenever possible. You will also assist Support in the reproduction and diagnosis of customer-reported problems.
Key features under test include journaling for crash resiliency, mirroring for shared-nothing high-availability clustering, and Enterprise Cache Protocol for distributed caching, as well as ObjectScript and embedded Python.
