Zalando’s newly formed Inspiration and Entertainment unit is seeking a dynamic and experienced Principal Product Marketer to help shape the future of content creation on our platform.

As part of a new venture at Zalando, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving the adoption, engagement, and development of content creators through innovative tools that empower creators to bring their best work to life. You will collaborate with product, design, and marketing teams to onboard creators and ensure they’re fully equipped to thrive in our ecosystem.

Your mission will be to bring awareness to these tools, facilitate seamless onboarding, and support creators' growth and engagement across multiple markets.

WHAT THE TEAM IS LOOKING FOR:

You will be responsible for driving the product marketing strategy for our suite of creator tools, ensuring content creators can leverage these products to their fullest potential while building excitement around new releases. We’re seeking a creative strategist with a ‘growth’ mindset who’ll act as an advocate for the creator community. Combining product strategy with compelling storytelling and experimentation, you will spearhead initiatives across various business areas.

To drive creator engagement and growth, you will:

  • Translate product vision into language that resonates with content creators.

  • Design and deliver go-to-market strategies in partnership with marketing, creator relations, and communications stakeholders.

  • Measure the impact of your efforts, experimenting and improving upon tactics to ensure we provide a best-in-class experience that enables creators to thrive on our platform.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING):

  • Strategy Development: Conduct creator and market research, writing impactful internal and external content to articulate the value propositions of our creator tools. You will identify what makes these tools unique and valuable in the competitive landscape. You’ll be accountable for reviewing their impact to ensure continuous improvement and making sure creators see themselves as key beneficiaries of the tools we offer.

  • Collaborate and Influence: You will work closely with product managers, (content & product) designers, and Marketing teams to shape and support the creator journey. Collaborating with Analytics, you will track creator engagement metrics and KPIs.

  • Develop and Execute: You will create and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies to launch new creator tools and features. Identifying opportunities for cross-product and cross-channel synergies, you’ll aim to enhance the creator experience, driving adoption and fostering loyalty within the creator community.

  • Experiment & Scale: You’ll analyse data and creator feedback to understand what’s working—and what’s not—within our ecosystem. Through testing and iteration, you’ll help design solutions and scale them to create maximum impact. Working with the product and marketing teams, you’ll ensure that creator tools are distributed in ways that are both effective and creator-centric.

  • You drive ownership & Execution: You have experience owning and delivering high-quality digital product experiences in creator-driven environments. You have shaped product value propositions, developed go-to-market strategies, and delivered compelling narratives to support creators in leveraging new tools. Your experience spans both new product launches and optimising existing features for greater adoption and engagement.

  • You have deep product marketing experience: You have experience in shaping and communicating product marketing strategies with an understanding of creator needs and the overall brand strategy. You are a natural storyteller, able to craft compelling messaging that resonates with creators and elevates their experiences.

  • You understand creators and their journey: You’ve worked in environments that support creative professionals, and you’re passionate about building tools that help them succeed. You can show examples of your work that demonstrate your ability to enhance creator engagement, improve their experience, and develop long-term loyalty.
