This role will manage Skillsoft’s skill taxonomy partnering with the engineering team to use AI to map roles, skills and learning content enabling role-based learning, skill measurement and reporting, and automated curation of content in different forms and outputs.
Use of AI to create and maintain the skill taxonomy

Analyze the title and description of digital learning assets and extract skills from them

Analyze skills and cluster them into a hierarchical skill taxonomy

Use AI to develop leveling for each skill
Meet with customers to discuss taxonomy

Meet with customers to discuss skills taxonomy, approach as a Skillsoft subject matter expert on our skills work
-
Work with sales to represent this capability and respond to RFPs as needed
-
Primary contact for customers that raise issues with skills match rate to Workday or SAP Talent Intelligence Hub integrations; manage the internal operational process to strengthen match rate (e.g. service, tools, messaging to clients, project management of work to address issues and improve match rate)
Support customer-specific skill taxonomy implementations

Assist customers in using their proprietary skill taxonomies and mapping Skillsoft skills and content to theirs

Assist customers in using off-the-shelf taxonomies and mapping Skillsoft skills and content to them

Develop approaches and train professional services teams to scale the operation
Maintain the taxonomy up to date with emerging and future skills

Analyze external trends and customer data for emerging skills to capture in the taxonomy

Align to World Economic Forum taxonomy and emerging skills/roles

Develop other methods to update the taxonomy

Manage the skill entity lifecycle (update, merge and deprecate skills in the taxonomy when needed)
Human-in-the-loop and quality assurance

Perform routine quality analysis of automated skill mappings and execute continuous quality improvement

Collaborate with colleagues to establish human-in-the-loop process

Develop AI methods to assess quality of the tagging
Utilizing the skill taxonomy in features in the learning platform

Determine how to best utilize the skill taxonomy to support dashboards, progress metrics, role-based recommendations, etc.

Modify the taxonomy as needed to maximize value of the features
Ecosystem integrations

Maintain and optimize industry-leading integrations with key talent management systems
