We’re growing! Yext is looking for a visionary and experienced Principal Product Designer specializing in Data and Analytics solutions to join our growing team.This is an exciting opportunity to lead innovative design efforts across complex, large-scale data-driven products. You will mentor a team of designers, drive product and experience strategy, and design solutions that empower users with actionable insights. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in transforming data and analytics into intuitive, user-centric experiences, with an interest in emerging technologies like automation, AI, and agentive design.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead product design and UX solutions across the entire product lifecycle, focusing on Data and Analytics products and solutions.
  • Drive strategy and vision for cross-product initiatives, aligning with business objectives and user needs.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, Data Science, UX Research, and other cross-functional teams to prioritize customer- and user-driven design solutions.
  • Define and create rationale for major cross-product and architectural design solutions in Data and Analytics platforms.
  • Design innovative, scalable solutions that transform complex data into actionable insights, presenting those solutions to customers and senior leadership.
  • Own design’s approach for data and analytics products and solutions, driving the creation of reusable patterns and cohesive experiences across platforms.
  • Participate in user research and data analysis to inform design decisions and identify opportunities for product expansion or new features.
  • Develop and present interactive prototypes and visual designs, leveraging a data-driven approach to communicate and iterate on concepts.
  • Mentor and guide senior designers on best practices for data and analytics solutions, fostering a culture of innovation and high standards within the team.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, particularly related to automation, AI, and advanced analytics, and integrate these technologies into design solutions where applicable.

What You Have

  • 10+ years of professional experience in product design, with a focus on data, analytics, and SaaS products.
  • Proven track record of leading complex, cross-product design initiatives, particularly in the realm of data-driven solutions.
  • Strong experience with interaction design, visual design, and systems design, with a deep understanding of data visualization best practices.
  • Expertise in creating intuitive user interfaces for complex data and analytics platforms, balancing functionality with user experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product and experience strategy, ensuring design is aligned with business goals and user needs.
  • Experience working with design systems and creating consistent, reusable solutions across a product suite.
  • Proficiency in Figma and familiarity with prototyping and collaboration platforms.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively advocate for design decisions to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with agile and human-centered design methodologies, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative development environment.
  • A passion for data and analytics, with a curiosity-driven approach to solving complex design challenges.

Bonus Points

  • Experience designing UX for automation or AI, with an understanding of their impact on user experience.
  • Familiar with the growing space of agentive design and an ability to articulate the potential role it can play in modern SaaS solutions.
  • Experience designing responsive UIs for cross-platform analytics experiences.
  • Knowledge of accessibility design principles and ability to ensure products meet WCAG standards.
  • Prior experience in the Marketing Technology (MarTech) space, or related industries focusing on data products.

Pay ranges at Yext are established based on an analysis of salaries for positions with a similar level of accountability and impact in the relevant labor market. Salary levels are expected to change to reflect an employee’s job performance (results and impact) over time. Salaries at the time of hire are typically offered in the lower to middle of the above-referenced range in order to provide the opportunity to reflect performance-based increases over time. In addition to base salaries, employees at Yext are typically eligible for a comprehensive package of benefits including medical, dental and vision benefits; life insurance; short term and long-term disability; 401(k) retirement plan; and vacation and sick leave. Successful candidates may also be eligible for equity (stock) based compensation and/or variable pay programs based on performance relative to goals and targets.

Annual Base Pay Range

$185,850$309,500 USD
