Seeking a highly motivated and experienced AWS Engineer to join our growing team. As an AWS Engineer you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining our cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role primarily provisions / supports all the Services needed for Data Engineers. Also, play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability and security of our cloud environment. This role requires a strong understanding of AWS services, best practices and a passion for cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, Implement and manage AWS infrastructure components, including Athena, SSM, EC2, S3, Glue, RDS, Dynamo DB, Lambda, Lake Formation, CloudFormation and other relevant services.
- Debug build and job failures at Platform level
- Monitor and optimize the performance and cost of AWS resources.
- Implement and maintain security best practices and compliance requirements within the AWS environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, collaborating with development, business users and operations teams.
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical infrastructure support.
- Document infrastructure configurations and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of experience in application development
- 4+ years of experience in on AWS
- Good understanding of CI/CD, Jenkins pipelines.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Strong problem-solving, multi-tasking and organizational skills.
- Demonstrable experience of working on a team that is geographically dispersed.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cloud Certification (AWS)
- Prior knowledge or experience of working in Asset Management domain is a plus.
- Experience with Container technologies (Docker, EKS, ECS)
- Experience in CICD process
- Experience working with SumoLogic
