ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a long-term sustainable global pricing and profitability review process, identifying and driving global margin optimization initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior management, regional sales and finance teams, program management, category directors, and operations to align financial strategies with business objectives.
- Generate comprehensive reporting and analysis related to pricing and margins, delivering key insights that support strategic decision-making and overall financial performance.
- Identify underlying issues affecting profitability, evaluate various scenarios and their impacts, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Perform market research and competitive analysis to inform pricing strategies and enhance product positioning.
- Support the planning processes across regions, including the offerings matrix and pricing schedule for SMU, limited drops, and multiple-FX global customers.
- Facilitate consistent customer profitability reporting across regions, ensuring accuracy and relevancy of data.
- Focus on continuous improvement and best practices across regions, identifying areas for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
- Manage multiple projects and initiatives to improve financial performance, demonstrating strong project management skills.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex functions and data modeling; experience with financial software, ERP systems, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong analytical skills and advanced problem-solving abilities; takes a proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges.
- Intermediate to advanced understanding of transactional flow within a production operation
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to data accuracy
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across functions, building strong relationships with sales, marketing, and operations teams.
- Experience managing multiple projects and leading initiatives that drive financial performance improvements.
- Strong strategic thinking capabilities, with the ability to provide insights and recommendations that support long-term business goals.
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean) to enhance financial processes and reporting accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to present complex financial information clearly to senior management and non-financial stakeholders.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; Master’s degree a plus
- Minimum of seven years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or related fields, with a focus on financial modeling, reporting and analysis; pricing and/or costing experience preferred
- Experience in a mid-sized or large international manufacturer within the consumer goods industry preferred.
