As a Principal Engineer at Array, you will use your expertise in Elixir to design, implement, and maintain systems that prioritize robustness and efficiency. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure the reliability and scalability of our Elixir-based applications and APIs.
All Engineering roles at Array are subject to on-call rotations after a ramp/training period. This role is open to contract OR full time employment.
You Will:
- Lead incident response efforts for Elixir-based systems and APIs.
- Design and implement secure, scalable Elixir applications.
- Analyze logs and application data to identify and resolve issues.
- Conduct regular assessments to ensure the stability and performance of production environments.
- Promote best practices for functional programming and system design.
- Evaluate architectural changes and provide expertise on Elixir's impact.
You Have:
- 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with significant Elixir expertise.
- Hands-on experience with Elixir and the Phoenix Framework in production.
- Proficiency in functional programming and distributed systems design.
- Familiarity with DevOps pipelines, especially GitLab CI/CD.
- Knowledge of APIs, cloud environments, and distributed system architecture.
- Awareness of emerging trends in Elixir and functional programming.
Pay transparency: $178,000 + for base salary, depending on experience.
