Job Description:
What You'll Do
The role will be accountable for working with business and HR leaders to ensure that Discover increases, develops and leverages an inclusive workforce, sustaining an environment of where everyone can reach their full potential, and generates positive business results in the markets we serve. The role will work under the guidance of the sr. manager in order to help ensure we attract and develop our all employees in order to drive preference as an employer of choice and have a positive business impact. The role will also be responsible for tracking and reporting on related statistics/data/metrics, serving as a liaison and expert to various internal and external partners and managing/participating in projects. This role will provide strategic guidance, direction and oversight to People Leaders, Employee Advocacy Groups (Employee Resource Groups, Affinity Groups, etc.), HR Business Partners, and internal councils ensuring they are working effectively and contributing to and supporting Discover's strategies and goals, including monitoring primary activities and corresponding budgets.
How You'll Do It

  • Track, evaluate, and report on the effectiveness of programs and initiatives. Report on milestone progress toward strategic priorities. Measure impact of new initiatives against key performance indicators and metrics.
  • Provide strategic guidance, direction and oversight to People Leaders, Employee Advocacy Groups (including but not limited to Employee Resource Groups, Affinity Groups), HR Business Partners, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion councils ensuring they are working effectively and contributing to and supporting Discover's strategies and goals. This includes monitoring primary activities and corresponding budgets.
  • Partner with external consultants and experts, HR business partners and Centers of Excellence (COE) leaders, and senior business leaders to help assess current state programs, diagnose issues, and develop and embed diverse and inclusive thought to existing practices.
  • Partner with Corporate Communications in ensuring Discover's DE&I "brand" is accurately and positively reflected in appropriate internal and external communications.
  • Support programs that strengthen strategies around Diversity & Inclusion related to recruiting, performance and engagement processes that align with business objectives.
  • Drive, direct, and implement strategic objectives in multiple formats including programs, self-service tools, in-person development activities, training facilitation, presentations and specific consultation based on business need.


Qualifications You'll Need
The Basics

  • Bachelors Human Resources, Business Administration and Management or related
  • 6+ years Human Resources, DE&I, or related
  • In lieu of education, 8+ years Program or Project Management, Human Resources, DE&I, Communications, People Management, Chief of Staff, or related

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Masters Human Resources. Business Administration and Management or related
  • 2+ years Human Resources, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Communications, People Management, Chief of Staff experience
  • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion professional certification

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $91,000.00 to $153,400.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
