Role Description
We are looking for a Senior Data Science Engineer to analyze data and apply computer technology solutions to build new approaches to a data analytics platform that will detect the intrusive behavior of employees inside an organization.
Responsibilities:
- The candidate will be part of the product engineering team responsible for all things related to data ingestion, transformation and analytics.
- Design and implement features and solutions relevant to all aspects of the Big Data Analytics platform that is part of the DTEX solution.
- Research, design and implement various data science algorithms to identify hidden patterns, outliers and correlated events which enable the resolution of customer use cases in the areas of cyber security, insider threat, risk management and behavioral patterns.
- Design, build and maintain a big data platform using open source technologies such as Hadoop, Spark and ElasticSearch.
- Translate business requirements into data models, algorithms, and processes in order to produce results from customer data sets.
- Apply advanced data mining and machine learning techniques to specific domain problems for our next generation solution.
- Work independently and with junior engineers to take very high-level requirements and solve them within the constraints of existing platform.
- Perform the role of a technical leader and manage projects and deliverables.

Required Skills & Knowledge:
- Master’s degree in CS or related Eng or Science fields
- 7+ years of experience in relevant roles
- Strong knowledge of data science algorithms, machine learning algorithms and statistical analysis
- Strong knowledge of Python as a generic programming language as well as in the context of data science and machine learning, including knowledge of relevant machine learning tools and libraries
- Strong knowledge of developing software on Apache Spark using PySpark
- Strong knowledge of traditional databases such as PostgreSQL as well as NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or ElasticSearch
- Very good experience working on the Linux OS (Redhat or CentOS) as an advanced user
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Prefer experience in startup environments
