We are looking for a Principal Data Scientist with deep crypto-native experience to join our product and data science team at OKX. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role at the intersection of data science, product strategy, and growth. You’ll work closely with product managers, marketers, and executives to uncover actionable insights, build data-driven tools, and drive global user and revenue growth.
We’re seeking someone who not only works fluently with data at scale—but also understands the dynamics of crypto, has a product mindset, and can influence strategic direction through clear, compelling insights.

What You'll Be Doing:

Strategic Partnership – Serve as a trusted advisor to product and growth teams, using data to shape product roadmaps and business strategy.

Decision Intelligence – Execute advanced analytics to identify opportunities, diagnose issues, and influence prioritization.

Experimentation & Standards – Define and scale best practices in experimentation, modeling, and analytics across teams.

Storytelling with Data – Craft clear, impactful narratives that bring data to life and influence decisions at every level of the organization.

Business Metrics Leadership – Define, monitor, and evolve key product and growth metrics to measure impact and performance.

Automation & Scale – Build scalable tools, dashboards, and data pipelines that enable faster, deeper insights across the org.

Team Leadership & Mentorship – Guide and mentor other data scientists; foster a strong data culture across product and engineering teams.
What We Look For In You:

Education & Experience
-
BA/BS in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field

7+ years in data science or analytics, with at least 3 years in crypto or fintech

A proven track record of driving measurable product or growth outcomes using data

Technical Expertise

Deep understanding of blockchain fundamentals, token economics, and CEX/DEX user behavior

Expert-level SQL and proficiency in Python or R for analysis and modeling

Hands-on experience with experimentation frameworks, predictive modeling, and advanced statistical techniques

Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives and influence executives

Strong data storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex analyses into clear takeaways

OKX Statement:
The salary range for this position is $198,000.00 to $328,708.00. The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. In addition to the salary, a performance bonus and long-term incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
