Job Summary: We are seeking an exceptional Architect to join our team and play a pivotal role in driving the technical vision and execution of our NOMAD mission. As a key leader, you will provide technical leadership to a team of 250+ engineers, champion cloud-native architectures, and ensure the delivery of robust, scalable, and efficient solutions in the observability space. This role requires the candidate to actively participate in coding, design, code reviews, solving problems, and fostering a culture of simplicity and innovation.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1.     Technical Leadership:

o   Define and drive the technical vision, strategy, and architecture for NOMAD tools.

o   Lead by example with hands-on involvement in design and code reviews.

o   Provide mentorship and guidance to engineering teams, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with organizational goals.

2.     Cloud-Native Architecture:

o   Design and implement cloud-native, scalable, and resilient architectures.

o   Advocate and implement best practices for containerization, microservices, and serverless computing.

o   Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure robust CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.

3.     Problem Solving:

o   Identify and resolve organizational and technical challenges to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.

o   Simplify complex processes and systems, ensuring they are efficient and maintainable.

o   Promote a culture of problem-solving and continuous improvement.

4.     Collaboration and Communication:

o   Partner with product management and other stakeholders to align technical solutions with business needs.

o   Communicate technical concepts and decisions effectively across diverse audiences.

o   Build strong cross-functional relationships to ensure cohesive and effective collaboration.

5.     Quality and Innovation:

o   Champion quality assurance and testing strategies to deliver reliable and high-performing tools.

o   Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, incorporating them into the organization’s roadmap as appropriate.

o   Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging teams to explore new ideas and approaches.

Qualifications:

·       Experience:

o   10+ years of experience in software development and architecture.

o   Proven experience leading and mentoring large engineering teams (250+ members).

o   Demonstrated expertise in cloud-native architecture and modern development practices.

·       Technical Skills:

o   Proficient in designing and implementing scalable, distributed systems.

o   Strong hands-on experience with modern programming languages (e.g., Go, Python, Java, etc.).

o   Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker).

o   Familiarity with monitoring, alerting, and diagnostic tools and frameworks (e.g., VictoriaMetrics, Prometheus, Grafana, Streaming Telemetry).

o   Understanding of network protocols and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, Routing and Switching protocols) is highly desirable.

o   Knowledge of DOCSIS and related technologies is a strong plus.

o   Basic understanding of LLMs and Analytics of big data

·       Leadership and Problem-Solving:

o   Exceptional problem-solving skills with a focus on efficiency and simplicity.

o   Strong ability to influence and inspire teams towards technical and organizational excellence.

·       Soft Skills:

o   Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

o   Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams.
