As a Vice President of Product Development within PricingDirect, you will be a part of a revenue-generating team, providing independent valuations and analytics on a vast range of over 3 million fixed income, derivatives, and private equity instruments. You will have the opportunity to leverage real-time market intelligence from both buy-side and sell-side market participants. Your crucial role will involve leading the development and enhancement of our valuation products, promoting product strategy to ensure our offerings meet the evolving needs of our clients and align with PricingDirect's strategic goals. Your deep expertise in financial valuations and product management will be essential in this role.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of product strategies for PricingDirect's valuation, data, and analytic services, ensuring alignment with market opportunities and client needs.
- Identify and evaluate new product opportunities and enhancements to drive growth and maintain competitive advantage in the valuation space.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technology, operations, sales, legal, and compliance, to ensure successful product development and launch.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to gather insights and feedback for continuous product improvement.
- Collaborate with trading desks, market participants, and research teams to enhance market knowledge and understanding of market pricing.
- Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to understand client needs, industry trends, and the competitive landscape in the valuation sector.
- Use data-driven insights to inform product development decisions and prioritize initiatives.
- Oversee the product development lifecycle for new offerings, from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Ensure all product offerings comply with internal risk management policies.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a STEM field.
- 8+ years of experience in product development or management within the financial services industry.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and launching products.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment of real-time market pressures, remaining focused on client needs.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Previous market or quantitative experience in fixed income, derivatives, or private equity.
- Software development skills in Python with knowledge of data science techniques
- Knowledge of financial markets, valuation methodologies, and regulatory environment.
- MBA, MS or other advanced degree preferred.
