Preformulation and biopharmacy scientist

POSITION PURPOSE

We are seeking an experienced pharmaceutical scientist to strengthen our Preformulation and Biopharmacy team. In this role you will be mainly responsible for characterization of active substances and early development prototypes, designing and performing stress and compatibility studies, development of liquid chromatography methods and impurity identification and description of degradation pathways. You will significantly contribute to product development within the project team.

WHAT THE JOB IS ABOUT / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES

  • Design and perform stress tests, compatibility studies, describe degradation pathways
  • Identify impurities, determine the active substance content and content uniformity
  • Develop liquid chromatography methods and characterize products using other analytical techniques
  • Contribute to product development through active participation
  • Work collaboratively with project team members
  • Conduct scientific literature searches and reviews
  • Evaluate, interpret and present data and results
  • Plan and conduct experiments together with the team

WHAT WILL YOU NEED / QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Education: MSc or PhD  in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacy or relevant scientific field
  • Strong and demonstrated knowledge of pharmaceutical sciences and technologies, organic as well as analytical chemistry is required
  • Applicants with several years of practical experience in pharmaceutical R&D will be given priority
  • Analytical thinking, result orientation, structured way of working
  • Respect, Teamwork, Professionalism, Enthusiasm, Courage
  • Ability to work in cross-cultural teams, ability to work independently and to make educated decisions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good command of English is a must as you will join international team
