Job: Pre Press Assistant
Rate: $23.82/hr
Shift: 8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday- Friday

The Pre-Press Assistant position reports directly to the department manager.
What you will be doing:
- Proof items with Global Vision proofing system
- Learn how to find real print errors from false positives.
- Research and problem solve when Press department gives you the wrong or missing information.
- If Global Vision finds a print issue, bring findings to graphic department, or write an email if after graphic department hours.
- Keep records of errors with Global Vision software and scanner.
- Add plate delivery tracking numbers to File Maker
- Clean dust from Global Vision scanner
- Take extra, not needed film off the rolls and put into trash
- Bring Global Vision and Lab’s Garbage to trash compactor
- Bring empty cores back to press in the proper spot
- Research active jobs in file maker for opportunities with the color proofs.
- Use Global vision to check the customer approved proof against the stepped proof.
- Keep Global Vision area 5S.

- Are able to read, speak and write in English proficiently
- Have color match experience, ink related experience
- Have excellent math skills
- Have excellent communication skills - both written & verbal
- Attention to detail
