PPG Primers Week is a highly selective program with the primary goal of introducing students who have completed their first year of college to PPG’s Internship Program, culture, development opportunities and business leaders. This week-long program, held in mid-July, is designed for students who are interested in internship and careers at PPG and want to learn what it means to help protect and beautify the world.
Primers Week is open to all first-year students (2028 college graduates) who have completed up to two semesters in their bachelor’s degree at an accredited college/university and are a recent high school graduate.
Our 2025 Primers Week will be held virtually. This program is perfect for students who are interested in interning at PPG during summer 2026 and 2027!
During Primers Week, you will have the chance to:

Learn about the PPG Way and PPG Way to Lead

Complete Personal and Professional Development Assessments

Network with other Primers (both current interns and prospective interns)

Hear from senior leads across the organization

Speak with current and former interns/campus program participants to learn about their personal experiences

Complete a business case study or design workshop with other participants

Learn about our Internship opportunities, projects, and locations

Navigate the recruiting and application process for our 2026 Internship Program
Selection Criteria for PPG Primers
Primers Week is open to all first year/rising sophomores (2028 graduates) who are pursuing a bachelor’s degree at an accredited college/university. Students must be completing their first year of school by the summer of 2025 with a focus in one (or more) of the below areas:

Analytics, Business Administration, Finance, HR, Supply Chain

Engineering (Aerospace, Chemical, Electrical, Energy, Mechanical, Materials Science, and more)

Chemistry, Research and Development

Digital

Environmental Health and Safety
Candidates will be evaluated and selected based on:
