Location: This position will be located in Newport, South Wales, U.K.
You will work together with a talented staff of engineering professionals to develop and enable innovative wide bandgap semiconductor technology to realize the next generations of Vishay’s proprietary power device product portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, execute and report the progress of the development and commercialization of power semiconductor products to meet technical and business objectives.
- Manage technology and product development programs schedule to meet critical milestones and customer commitments.
- Work with cross-functional R&D engineering and production teams to successfully execute new product developments from concept to production ramp.
- Collaborate with other functional and management teams to meet schedule, cost, and quality requirements.
- Facilitate cross-functional communication/conflict resolution, task prioritization/contingency, and key program decision-making.
- Coordinate between all project stakeholders such as marketing, engineering teams, operations etc. from initial requirements definition through manufacturing ramp.
Knowledge and Experience You'll Need:
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering, materials science, or a related technical field.
- a comprehensive, demonstrable background in power semiconductor materials / semiconductor device physics, and / fabrication process.
- 10+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry with prior experience in a program management role or other product development role (product engineering, test engineering, device engineering, etc.)
- Experience in power devices product development is desired.
- Experienced in using Project management tools.
- Knowledge of semiconductor devices and/or industrial semiconductor technology.
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally, and written form through technical presentations and technical reports.
- Experience in industrial and/or automotive industry standards is a plus
- Strong technical and analytical skills
