Here’s the Gist  

To meet growing Automotive demands, we currently have a need for a Technical Associate within The Power Semiconductor Device R&D Process Development Group. As a technical associate in the Power R&D group, you will be responsible for monitoring and dispositioning Power R&D material in process, in our MVF FABs. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to work closely with a team of Device Designers and Process Development Engineers, to drive the development of cutting-edge processes that will enable Wolfspeed’s next generation SiC devices.  

 

The Day-to-Day 

  • Learn and perform tasks related to the fabrication of SiC Power device, including: photolithography, dry and wet etch processes, physical and chemical vapor deposition, and thermal processing 

  • Perform inspections and characterization tests on wafers and communicate results to the team 

  • Collect data, analyze results, and issue recommendations. 

  • Understand complete process flow for product line 

  • Assist in creating documentation for new procedures and work instructions after process development is completed and assist in training production operators on new processes. 

  • Provide support to team members to investigate/resolve processing issues and suggest solutions to prevent future occurrence 

 

 

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements) 

  • Associates degree in engineering or science AND at least 5 years working in a technical role 

  • experience in Semiconductor Device Processing 

  • Strong attention to detail is a must 

  • Strong computer skills and MS Office (Word, Excel, Access) experience required 

  • Must be able to follow detailed instructions 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills 

  • Knowledge of Statistical-based data analysis 

  • Able to work in a cleanroom for an extended time 

  • Ability to adjust to rapidly changing priorities 

This role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management. 

The posted salary range is what Wolfspeed reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual pay for a hired applicant will be determined based on the individual’s job-relevant qualifications, experience, and other determinative factors. In the event it is determined that a different job level upon hire is warranted then that range will be communicated to the hired applicant as soon as reasonably practicable.

Compensation Range:

$35.95 - $49.45
