The POS Accounting Specialist is responsible for managing, reconciling, and analyzing point-of-sale (POS) transactions. This includes reviewing sales reports, cash handling, ensuring the accuracy of daily POS data entries, and collaborating with other departments to resolve discrepancies.
What you’ll do:

Reconciliation: Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of POS sales with accounting records to ensure the accuracy of financial data.

Reporting: Generate and prepare reports for management on sales, refunds, and other POS-related financial activities.

Accounting Support: Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including balancing general ledger entries related to POS transactions.

System Maintenance: Work closely with the IT team to ensure POS systems are properly updated and functioning correctly, troubleshooting any system issues as needed.

Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting standards, internal controls, and financial policies in relation to POS transactions and reporting.

Customer and Vendor Communication: Communicate with vendors, clients, and customers to resolve discrepancies and answer any related inquiries about POS transactions.
What you’ll bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

1+ years’ experience in POS system management or accounting roles, with a focus on transaction reconciliation and reporting.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (advanced skills).

Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
-
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Fluency in Italian; additional language skills are a plus.
