We are looking for a Polycarbonate Process Technology Expert for our group “Process Technology Development” in the Technology Center Polycarbonates, TPU & Films, who shares both our passion for process technology and our curiosity for developing new, sustainable processes for the future. Polycarbonate is a high-performance tough, amorphous and transparent thermoplastic polymer and offers a unique combination of properties like high impact strength and dimensional stability.
- In your new position, you are a global oriented Process Technology Expert for Polycarbonate located in Antwerp. You optimize plant performance and support production operation and asset management. You work in international teams on local and international studies and projects.
- By continuously collecting know-how and improving technical knowledge you deliver state-of-the-art innovative solutions: you perform conceptual designs and feasibility studies and you develop new sustainable, more efficient processes by scale-up in guiding lab and pilot plant studies towards a production scale design with focus on our circular economy vision.
- On the basis of your process know-how you supply process technology input in global small and large scale engineering projects. You cooperate with internal and external know how and equipment suppliers.
- Providing process technology expertise and consultancy to Polycarbonate production globally and proposing quick solutions in troubleshooting is an essential part of your role.
WHAT YOU OFFER
- You have a master degree in chemical engineering / process technology or you have comparable relevant prior long-term experience in this field.
- You have a broad and elaborate technical knowledge and know-how in common process unit operations. You are skilled in process flow sheeting as well as modelling and simulation of processes.
- You are a team player and have a track record of working cross functionally and globally.
- You are able to correctly analyze problems, think independently and develop imaginative and unique solutions to problems. You persist despite opposition and obstacles, and you express ideas and information in a clear, concise and understandable manner.
- You have an excellent command of the English and have the willingness to learn the Dutch language
