Our top-tier client is looking for a PL/SQL Developer that is familiar with Oracle to assist with customer projects.

**Experience with Oracle 19 is preferred.

Overview/Essential Responsibilities:

In this role, you will work closely with a team of 8-15 people who are responsible for enhancing, evolving, and supporting large, highly available Electricity Market Management System (MMS).

The team includes power systems, database, software, and optimization engineers.

As a Sr Database developer, you will contribute and lead advanced development in MMS Application software design, development, testing, integration and tuning to meet project and/or product commitments.

Projects’ main deliverable is an overall customized system that’s based on our organizations next generation Market System, a cloud-based solution that hosts multi-state wholesale energy markets.

End user customers are Electric Utilities, Independent System Operators (ISOs) and Transmission System Operators (TSOs).  These markets are key to decarbonizing our power system by ensuring reliability while allowing increasing penetration of Solar, Wind and Storage technologies.

Primary Skillset:

• A Bachelor’s degree in “STEM” major (Science, Technology, Engineering & MATH) from an accredited university or college.

•A minimum of four (8) years of experience in Oracle 19 development in an on-prem or cloud-based enterprise environment.

• Hands-on experience with PL/SQL development including triggers, types, procedures, functions

• Expert on writing and modify extremely complex SQL queries.

• Strong knowledge of Oracle Advanced Queues, Oracle Job Scheduler.

• Strong knowledge of programming changes needed for RAC vs non-RAC implementations

• Prior work experience in an agile environment and experience with DevOps

• Experience with 'Security by Design' and the 10 security principles (Defense in depth, Secure by default, Least privilege, Separation of duties, Minimize attack surface, complete mediation, open design, isolated compartments, Evidence production, and Application coding best practices).
