The opportunity.
Trumid is seeking a skilled Senior Support Engineer to join our Technology Team. This role will involve hands-on production support, providing client-facing technical expertise, and automating processes to maintain the reliability and performance of our trading platform.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide expert-level production support for our Kubernetes-based trading services, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Deliver user-friendly technical support for all end-users utilizing the Trumid UI and FIX (Financial Information eXchange) protocol integrations.
- Design and implement automation solutions using Python to eliminate manual processes and reduce operational overhead
- Contribute to and enhance existing Jenkins pipelines for release management, deployment automation, and maintenance workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention
- Create and enhance monitoring systems using modern observability tools (Prometheus/Grafana)
- Build and optimize SQL queries for operational data analysis and reporting
- Work closely with development teams to improve platform reliability and supportability
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to resolve technical issues with clear communication and effective follow-up

- Container Orchestration: Kubernetes
- Pipeline Management: Jenkins and ArgoCD (release automation, deployment, and maintenance workflows)
- Programming: Python, SQL
- Infrastructure: AWS/GCP
- Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana
- Log management: Falcon LogScale
- FIX (Financial Information eXchange) protocol for trading communications and integrations
- Version Control: Git
About you.
- 7+ years of experience in production support engineering or similar technical roles
- Expertise in Kubernetes administration and troubleshooting
- Proficient in Python programming with a focus on automation and tooling
- Experience with Jenkins and ArgoCD pipelines and automation
- Strong SQL skills for operational data analysis and troubleshooting
- Experience troubleshooting application alerts and errors using tools such as Falcon LogScale, and Grafana/Prometheus.
- Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and ability to implement practical solutions for operations
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) and Terraform
- Proven track record of building monitoring and alerting solutions
- Understanding of trading systems and financial market operations
- Strong client communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

In compliance with New York City Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range for this role in New York City is between $160,000 - $195,000. This range does not include discretionary bonus or other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with this job. Several factors are considered when determining a candidate’s compensation. Please note that the salary range listed for this position is based on the level of experience outlined in the job description. If a candidate's experience differs from the requirements, the salary may be adjusted accordingly.
