We are looking for a Platform Solutions Consultant to join our International Strategic Business Development team. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the future of our cloud-based platform, driving strategic international growth, and ensuring seamless client engagement. This role requires a strong understanding of cloud solutions, platform scalability, and third-party integrations, coupled with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and identify scalable platform enhancements.
As part of the International Strategic Business Development team, you will be responsible for defining and aligning the platform vision and strategy with business goals across multiple international markets. This involves ensuring that our cloud-based solutions meet key non-functional requirements, while also maintaining compliance with industry best practices. A critical aspect of the role is working closely with both internal and external stakeholders to refine the platform’s capabilities, optimize our cloud solutions, and enhance value for global clients.
Beyond the technical scope, the role requires strong client engagement skills. You will act as a trusted advisor, building relationships with clients at all levels, including C-level executives, ensuring their needs are met while driving adoption of our solutions. The ability to present complex technical solutions in a clear and compelling manner will be crucial, as you will lead discussions, deliver workshops, and support the commercialization of cloud offerings.
In addition, the role will oversee third-party integrations, ensuring that external solutions complement and extend our platform’s capabilities. A deep understanding of platform scalability and global market adaptability is essential, as the role involves evaluating partner products, expanding the international value chain, and developing targeted sales campaigns for cloud-based services.

Key responsibilities include:

Platform Solutions Expertise: Provide comprehensive platform solutions and service knowledge, assisting in all stages of service design.

Strategic Analysis and Solution Design: Conduct thorough analyses to ensure accuracy and propose alternative solutions.

Client-Centric Strategy Development: Understand and integrate client needs into strategic plans that align with both TSYS and client requirements.

Project and Implementation Oversight: Monitor high-level implementation project and business service plans, ensuring projects stay aligned with strategic objectives.

Business Direction and Client Negotiations: Provide strategic business direction and lead negotiations with clients to secure and finalize agreements.

Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with business, technical, operations, and end-user teams to develop desired solutions.

System Requirements Review: Assess and validate system requirements to confirm

they fulfill business needs, contributing to the overall integrity of the solution.

Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for complex projects.

Team Engagement and Problem Solving: Participate in client-facing and internal team meetings to craft effective solution approaches. Address and resolve complex issues, leveraging specialized knowledge and experience.
Essential Requirements:

Typically 8+ years relevant experience in the financial services industry (preferably payment systems industry) and/or IT industry

Educated to degree level in a relevant subject such as Computer Science, MIS, Business or Finance

Strong expertise in at least one of the cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and SaaS-based solutions

Experience in enterprise payment platforms and financial technology solutions

Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to engage C-level executives and clients

Strong stakeholder management, collaborating across multiple teams and disciplines

Experience with third-party integrations, APIs, and scalable platform architectures.
