Complete an internship project at SOPHiA GENETICS whose mission is to build the future of AI-assisted medicine, joining the Team of Engineers as a Platform Software Development Intern.
Your mission:
You will be part of a team of Engineers focused on developing web-modules and their microservices powering a multi-modal digital healthcare platform.
You will be involved in:
- Delivering of web-modules on our cloud-based web platform. This will include design, implementation and end-to-end testing.
- Contribution to the design, development, and release phases of individual web components of the platform enabling genomics interpretation for our users.
- You will actively participate in code and design reviews with other members of the team.
- You are familiar with modern software engineering processes, have knowledge of tools, technologies, and best practices.
- Knowledge of Javascript/Typescript and other languages.
- Basic knowledge/experience with Front-End frameworks: React, Next JS, Node, JSX.
- Familiarity with various APIs (GraphQL & REST).
- You seek to exchange regularly and communicate effectively with other members of your team.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
What you will learn:
- Gain hands-on experience in web development focused on cloud-based healthcare applications.
- Understand how to integrate front-end frameworks with back-end microservices and APIs.
- Learn how to design and test modern web applications in an agile environment.
- Develop problem-solving skills in real-world software engineering tasks.
