Job Description
The Plant Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless operational performance across the Atlanta site. As the local Site Manager, he/she is responsible for all aspects of operations including manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, continuous improvement, quality and EHS, managing and optimizing day-to-day operations to ensure customer and quality focus, efficiency, productivity and profitability. This dynamic position also involves leadership and oversight of the development of the site to support insourcing and growth of Surgery, Industry and drug delivery products/processes overseeing a complex program of projects enabling the quick ramp up and growth of the site and team in support of multiple business units.
Responsibilities:
Local Site Management Responsibilities:
- Development and implementation of the site operations strategy aligned to the overall business strategy
- Ownership and improvement of all site performance standards of safety, quality, cost, delivery and people.
- Deploy an operational excellence framework across the Atlanta site to significantly improve our continuous improvement culture and expertise.
- Grow and continually improve the organizational structure and drive a culture focused on safety, customer centricity, quality, cost management and continuous improvement.
- Management of the operational elements of the Sales & Operations Planning process ensuring on time delivery and future capacity for the business
- Ensures optimized supply chain and capacity for new product introductions.
- Operational budgeting, draft and define CAPEX requirements for the site and be responsible for the realization of investment.
- Ensures compliance to the quality management system for the Atlanta site and businesses served
- Representation of the site for internal and external audits, as well as customer visits
- Delivers an optimal supply chain to best serve our customer, support future growth and provide agile lead times.
- Responsibility for local process engineering, for machine, mold and plant maintenance
- Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations, including health and safety standards, mitigate risks and address any compliance issues promptly.
- Works across the medmix operations leadership team to ensure harmonization of global initiatives
- Oversight and ownership of a complex program of work across the business unit initiatives that will help grow the site
Cross medmix Responsibilities:
- Drive operational standards from/to other sites where possible
- Utilize expertise from other medmix sites/functions to aid the growth of the Atlanta site
- Align closely to the business unit leadership that the site serves.
Qualifications
Work experience:
- Proven experience in site-management of at least minimum 10 years, preferred within a healthcare operations setting.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization and in a matrix organizational structure.
- Experience in ramp up and expansion of operational facilities
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strategic thinker with a track record of implementing successful operational strategies
- Demonstrated experience in successfully leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data.
Expertise (e.g. professional, technical):
- Strong technical knowledge in healthcare products preferred
- Proven understanding in Lean methodologies and other process improvement tools and techniques.
Education: Level:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business administration or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
