Today, Africa is a predominantly beer region, and we will continue to growth beer fast. We also recognise an even greater opportunity in spirits and recently reorganised our business to put focus on redefining and accelerating spirits to double its current revenue through the SWC organisation.

About the role:

 To drive best in class demand planning through the One Plan cycle to deliver an 18-month rolling forecast for all SKUs and ensuring compliance to standards for 15 different countries for beer demand and 17 different countries for spirits demand.

Work with customer marketing, marketing, sales, supply and finance team by providing and maintaining very robust informed and statistically based forecast of demand plans at SKU level considering SIT to support drive continuously improving forecast accuracy to support stock availability for orders.

Ensure demand volume forecasts match seamlessly financial forecasts submitted at all time horizons.

Work closely with scotch planners to support portfolio harmonisation, SKU rationalisation and appropriate forecast signalling.

 Role Responsibilities:

• Drive the One Plan cycle each month for West, Central, Other Africa and ensure compliant completion for effective business planning.

• Challenge for continuous improvement to reach 80% forecast accuracy for the region

• Support portfolio harmonisation and SKU rationalisation projects

• Maintain demand planning reports for global submission and any software as required

Providing detailed analysis of forecast trends and critical metrics to guide the gap management process · 

Conducting root cause analysis and corrective action planning to understand sales forecast accuracy and Bias

 

Experience / skills required:

 

• Educational Qualifications: A Bachelor degree in Maths, Supply chain or related field is required. A Master's degree is considered advantageous.

• Supply Chain Experience: Minimum 5 years of demand planning experience with a proven track record, including at least 2 years of experience working with multi-country responsibility.

• Communication and Influencing Skills: Excellent communication and influencing skills are vital for effective interaction within the supply chain and across different collaborators.

• Demand Management Expertise: Strong understanding of core Demand Management processes and familiarity with forecasting heuristics to anticipate market demands accurately.

• Supply Chain Knowledge: Good knowledge of the end-to-end supply chain and the ability to comprehend the impacts of demand signals on various supply chain functions.

• Analytical and IT Skills: Proven analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and excellent excel skills are required. Experience of PowerBI is preferred.
