The Planner's role is to develop and maintain production schedules to ensure the delivery of goods and services to customers.
This position reports to the Manager, Planning and Data Management. It is part of the Planning department located in Burnaby, BC, Canada, and will be an on-site role.
What you will do:
- Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure the timely delivery of goods and services
- Coordinate with Service, Manufacturing, Controls Engineering, and Warehouse & Logistics to plan and adjust schedules as needed
- Monitor, measure, and report on performance at Daily Management meetings
- Identify any potential delays or challenges in the planning process and apply problem-solving methods to resolve and execute
- Coordinate with Sales Operations, Procurement, Distribution Planning, and Logistics teams to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and the delivery of finished goods
Who you are:
- Post-secondary education in supply chain, operations, business management, or equivalent work experience is an asset
- 3+ years of planning experience in a manufacturing environment
- 3+ years’ experience working with ERP systems with a thorough understanding of core supply chain fundamentals
- Strong knowledge in project planning & scheduling concepts, terminology, and methodologies
- Proven capacity to create and maintain complex schedules in a manufacturing environment
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Applying Danaher Business Systems (DBS) tools or continuous improvement methodologies in a manufacturing environment
- Working towards or holds a professional supply chain certification (ASCM, APICS, SCMP)
The salary range for this role is CAD $68,000- CAD $80,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
