The role of the Financial Planner, Estate & Financial Planning Services (“EFPS”) is to provide estate and financial planning services to qualified clients with an ability to engage experienced advisors in more complex opportunities. This role requires a blend of technical ability along with outstanding communication skills to review financial plans with advisors and clients. The Financial Planner, EFPS provides personalized comprehensive financial planning to clients via advisors.

While the role contributes to sales, this role is an advisory role that requires being kept at arms length from the sales role. EFPS employees are not commissioned sales people nor are they licensed to sell product. It is important that clients view this service as balanced and objective.
What will you do?

Contribute to sales results by providing EFPS qualified clients with comprehensive financial planning services

Serve as a financial planning services resource for advisors and Financial Centres

Deliver seminars/presentations on advanced planning topics

Maintain a current and thorough knowledge of estate and financial planning through research, attending industry related functions, continuing education, etc.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
