The Placement Coordinator collaborates closely with Placement colleagues, advisors, and dedicated client servicing professionals to analyze client data, evaluate needs, and help create effective risk management solutions designed to meet clients’ financial goals & placement of new and renewal business.
- Principal Responsibilities:
- Prepares documents for placement submission.
- Prepares applications, loss summaries, and other coverage related documents for placement.
- Responsible for marketing all assigned accounts.
- Coordinates service delivery on assigned accounts including developing initial placement and renewal strategy
- Assist in responding to carrier inquiries when needed.
- Attend client meetings with carrier partners and brokers.
- Cultivate strong relationships with insurance company partners, responsible for knowing carrier requirements and attributes, and in-depth knowledge of at least one carrier
- Records data into appropriate insurance company and firm software programs.
- Prepare Broker of Record Letters and present to carriers.
- Completes special projects as assigned.
- Looks for opportunities to improve the firm, business segment and processes. Brings issues and discrepancies to the attention of appropriate leader.
Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
- Current P&C license as required by the State of Department of Insurance to effectively service clients.
- 1 to 2 + years’ experience in the insurance industry preferred.
- High attention to detail.
- Strong analytical, research and critical thinking skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate to advance knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and ability to learn any other appropriate insurance company and firm software systems.
- Ability to learn appropriate insurance company and firm software systems.
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Must demonstrate the organization’s core values, exuding behavior aligned with the firm’s culture.
