We are seeking a mid-level supporting engineer with a robust blend of technical and support skills to join our team, known as Pixel Operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with web analytics, tracking pixel / tag implementation and customer service. You should be proficient in relational databases and SQL and have experience with at least one additional programming language. Your role will require excellent communication skills for working with both internal cross-functional peers and directly with customers as needed. A penchant for improvement and a service-oriented, positive attitude are key to thriving here. We value a deep understanding of the technical and human factors influencing user satisfaction and business success.
What You’ll Do:
- Support pixel implementations, guide customers as they set up and troubleshoot MNTN’s pixels on their sites to track user interactions and conversions from their marketing campaigns.
- Serve as an expert on proper implementation across various platforms used for measurement by MNTN’s customers (e.g., Google Tag Manager,Shopify)
- Resolve technical issues impacting pixel tracking raised by our customer-facing team and our automatic systems, working directly with customers as needed
- Automate and streamline support and development processes
- Maintain and enhance monitoring and alert systems
- Foster team collaboration and knowledge-sharing
- Engage deeply with our business goals, customer needs, and team mission to help ideate and implement new features and product capabilities
- Write and review code in JavaScript (mostly front-end and some back-end)
What You'll Bring:
- Proven customer support excellence
- Experience with pixel tracking and tag management systems (e.g., Google Tag Manager, Shopify)
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex data sets and derive meaningful insights.
- 2+ years of customer-oriented technical experience HTML/CSS/vanilla Javascript experience, including concepts like DOM manipulation, specificity, and HTTP requests
- Skills in automation and scripting
- Solid track record of project delivery
- Effective collaborator in team settings and exceptional communication skills
Nice To Have:
- Experience in the ad-tech industry
- Experience in web analytics, digital marketing, or a related role
- Experience working in a service-oriented architecture
- Experience creating and supporting integrations
