Key Responsibilities:
Enable PHM Data Flow Path: Create parsing rules and ensure data is correctly flowing to system databases.
Track Data Coverage: Monitor data coverage from different engine lines to ensure comprehensive data collection.
Support Data Quality Issues: Address data quality issues by identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
Acquire Expertise in PHM Process: Develop a deep understanding of the PHM process.
Lead Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Drive initiatives aimed at continuous improvements in the PHM process.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Learn about the GE Aerospace Commercial Engines PHM system architecture and flight data flow.
- Collaborate with PHM stakeholders and experts for each engine PHM-related subsystem to define data acquisition and data visualization requirements.
- Define along with PHM stakeholders the development of engine health management dashboards.
- Work with internal/external customers to resolve PHM flight data quality issues within the PHM system architecture.
- Proactively look for opportunities for analytics development across different commercial engine programs
- Develop parsing rules for ACARmessage decoding
- Communicate data issues to both technical leadership and upper management.
- Present at technical reviews and document results from investigations, data analysis, dashboard development and analytics activities.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree: Mechatronics Engineering, computer system engineering, Data Science, Data Engineering, Statistics, or similar background.
- Experience in prototyping analytic solutions for complex problems
- Experience in data analysis, data engineering and data science
- Experience in programming skills in two of the following: Python, SQL/MySQL, C/C++/C#, R
- Experience using tools (e.g., Spotfire, Tableau, Power BI) to develop interactive Data Dashboards and Dataiku
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
- Skilled in breaking down problems and estimate time for development tasks.
- Support and coordinate technical efforts with peers, internal and external customers, suppliers, field engineers and manufacturing, as required.
- Ensure that proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks is consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
Desired Characteristics
- Knowledge on aircraft engines performance and operational parameters.
- Experience managing GitHub repositories.
- Experience on Object Oriented Programming (OOP) development.
