Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Personal Lines Account Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will function independently to educate and assist clients, resolve issues, and manage insurance coverages efficiently. This role requires exceptional customer service skills, strong communication abilities, and a proactive approach to account management.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently inform and educate clients, answer questions, resolve issues, and recommend coverage modifications as needed.
  • Provide outstanding customer service for assigned accounts, including regular correspondence and communication with clients, producers, and insurance carriers.
  • Market new and renewal business to appropriate carriers, preparing complete marketing submissions as required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the agency management system in accordance with agency workflows.
  • Prepare summaries of insurance, schedules, and proposals for account reviews following agency protocols.
  • Verify accuracy of new and renewal policies, including rating, coverages, and other relevant details. Process transactions to generate billing invoices and ensure timely policy delivery to clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and prospects through effective communication and research.
  • Conduct prospect due diligence and connect with clients via phone, in-person meetings, and email.
  • Identify opportunities for coverage enhancements or additional policies to round out client accounts.
  • Educate clients and prospects on coverages, exclusions, and documentation requirements.
  • Proactively seek referrals from existing clients and personal contacts.
  • Develop relationships with local centers of influence to generate new business opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a current Property & Casualty license in the state of Texas.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in personal lines account management.
  • Experience with Applied EPIC is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively drive results against predefined goals and plans.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Motivated by relationship-building and helping clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and other online services.
  • Prior experience working in an office setting, preferably within an independent insurance agency.
