Personal Assistant (Family Law)

Salary: £40,000 – £42,000 per annum DOE, plus company benefits

Location: London, EC2V 7AW

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Shifts: 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 9am until 5:30pm with 1 hour unpaid break

Work model: Hybrid, two days in the office a week

Purpose of role 

The role of the Personal Assistant is to provide enhanced, proactive support to fee earners to enable them to operate efficiently. The support provided needs to be a seamless legal service to clients. The Personal Assistant role is expected to use a high degree of self-management and initiative and to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

The Personal Assistant will act as workflow manager for other support services. This includes delegating and supervising the completion of document production, file management and copying/scanning work which are primarily undertaken by other relevant business support services.

Key responsibilities 

  • Personal Assistant to highly regarded Family Partner, his Senior Associate and Associate.
  • Diary management / Fee Earner organisation including booking meeting rooms, arranging travel, itineraries, expenses
  • Client care liaison
  • Liasing with other third parties such as barristers; solicitors and other external companies where necessary
  • Supporting with client file opening and closing, conflict checking
  • Email management and profiling of emails using document management system.
  • Preparing documents and amends, letters and emails in draft when required
  • Online form completion
  • Delivering an exceptional electronic file management service
  • Uploading and Downloading documents from client management system and portals
  • Understand and comply with corporate standards, constantly seek ways to improve operations and suggest and implement approved ideas
  • Usage of internal and external portals/systems
  • Communicate with customers on job or deadlines
  • Assisting with monthly billing process
