THE ROLE

As a Performance Media Manager, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing media buying strategies across digital platforms such as Meta, Google, TikTok, managing agencies, and looking to expand our media mix to other channels. You will also work closely with the creative team to ensure that our ads not only reach the right audiences but also engage and convert through tailored creative/messaging.

Your role bridges data-driven evergreen performance, product launches for online and retail, promos, and delivering creative insights to inform creative briefing. Making sure that media spend is optimized to drive business targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Media Buying & Campaign Management:
    • Plan, execute, and optimize media buys across multiple platforms (Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, Affiliates, Snap etc.). Maximizing return on investment.
    • Analyze and interpret campaign performance, ensuring KPIs like ROAS, CPA, and CTR are met or exceeded.
    • Work with 3rd party agencies to drive improvements and scale up strategies 
    • Test and optimize audience segmentation, customer journeys, and bidding strategies for increased performance.
  • Creative Strategy Development:
    • Collaborate with internal creative teams to provide insights and guidance for ad creatives that will drive engagement and conversions.
    • Analyze past campaign performance and audience insights to influence the direction of new creative concepts.
    • Lead creative testing strategies to determine what messaging and visuals resonate best with each audience segment.
  • Performance Analysis & Reporting:
    • Regularly monitor and report on campaign performance, identifying trends and making actionable recommendations.
    • Produce weekly + monthly reports highlighting wins, challenges, and future strategic shifts.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration:
    • Partner with the ecomm, influencer, design, and brand teams to develop cohesive and effective ad campaigns, promos, and messaging.
    • Work closely with the product and analytics teams to ensure alignment of media strategy with broader business objectives.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience:
    • 4-6 years of hands-on experience in media buying, preferably in a digital-first or eCommerce environment.
    • Proven track record of successfully managing paid media campaigns across platforms such as Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, and Affiliates. (it's fine if you've only managed a couple of these platforms).
    • Demonstrated success in optimizing incremental ROAS, CPA, CAC:LTV Ratio, and other northstar metrics.
  • Skills & Expertise:
    • Ability to work across two brands with focus and prioritization in a fast moving agile team.
    • Analyze data and derive actionable insights for both media buying and creative direction.
    • Proficiency with analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, BI tools).
    • Understanding of creative development processes and experience working with creative teams.
  • Creative Mindset:
    • Strong eye for engaging ad creatives and messaging that can connect with different audience segments.
    • Ability to offer creative recommendations based on campaign performance and market trends.
  • Analytical & Data-Driven:
    • Strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of how data can shape effective media and creative strategies.
    • Ability to adapt to changes in market trends and platform algorithms swiftly and effectively.
  • Excellent Communication & Collaboration Skills:
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills as cross collaboration in key
    • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The reasonably estimated annual base salary for this role ranges from $90,000 - $100,000 and will include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and location. Details of participation in benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

These benefits are thoughtfully designed and curated to ensure that our employees are fully equipped to succeed in their work and personal lives. Some benefits include:

  • Health insurance: Pangaea offers medical, dental, and vision insurance plans. Out of three amazing medical plans, we cover 100% for the first plan for employees and 90% of the monthly premium for two higher coverage plans. We also provide 75% of the monthly premium for family coverage.
  • 401(k) matching: After a 3-month waiting period, Pangaea will match up to 4% of the employee's elected contribution to their retirement plan.
  • Time off: Pangaea recognizes 14 paid holidays per year. We also have 6 additional "Pangaea Fridays" throughout the year where employees can get a head start on their weekend and take the whole day off. Lastly, we have a flexible time off policy and trust our employees to take vacation when they need it!
  • Staff discount: All staff members are given $100 of credit per month to use on Pangaea products so that they can try, own (and love!) all the products we sell.
