The Impact You Will Have:

The People Relations Manager will deliver people services in a timely and effective manner and partner with business leaders to ensure optimal employee engagement while fostering a high-performance culture. This role will specialize in managing the relationship between employees and the organization. People Relations Manager will be responsible for resolving employee grievances, disputes, and providing guidance on disciplinary matters, ensuring fair treatment and compliance with company policies and employment laws. The People Relations Managers will play a crucial role in fostering a positive work environment, promoting employee satisfaction, and mitigating potential conflicts, contributing to a productive workplace.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide advice and guidance to leaders and employees on HR matters, embedding a performance-oriented culture and QTS values.
  • Investigating and resolving complex or critical employee relations issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Point of contact for employee relations matters including questions of policy, performance management, and employee concerns or complaints.
  • Collaborate with leadership through advice, coaching, and counsel to improve work relationships, build morale, and improve engagement and retention metrics.
  • Drive employee relations issues to resolution, including supporting and coaching leaders through the performance management process.
  • Utilize HR metrics and analytics to include trending and tracking of business unit specific HR objectives.
  • Maintain a high level of visibility, accessibility, and interaction with employees.
  • Engage employees throughout the lifecycle of their experiences at QTS.
  • Collaborate closely with HR Business Partners and broader HR teams.
  • Monitor and analyze human resources data and recommend interventions to address identified trends.

What You Need to be Successful:

  • Seven or more years of progressively human resources experience focused on identification and resolution of complex employee relations issues.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated ability to apply expert knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations, as well as the ability to diagnose and develop appropriate solutions to complex employment issues.
  • Broad technical knowledge and expertise in employee relations including expertise in risk assessment and the proper application of employment law.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state compensation, employment, and benefits laws, and regulations.
  • Ability to travel to sites +25% on average per year.
  • Deep expertise in conflict management resolution and proper techniques for investigating and resolving employee relations issues and complaints.
  • Experience implementing HR initiatives and delivering results in a changing & growing business environment.
  • Ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organization.

It Would be Great to Have:

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • PHR certification or equivalent; SPHR or equivalent preferred.
  • Global HR experience preferred.
