Job Description

About the Role

As our People partner, you’ll be a key player in shaping our local team’s experience, culture, and growth. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with a passionate and dedicated team of 15, while being supported by the global People team from London HQ. This role offers a balance of autonomy and collaboration, making it perfect for someone who’s hands-on, resourceful, and ready to grow with us.

You’ll have the chance to build HR strategies that fit our unique local needs while contributing to larger global initiatives. While we’re looking for someone with solid HR experience, you won’t need to be at a senior level. We’re more interested in finding someone who’s eager to take on new challenges, is highly motivated, and can operate independently in a fast-paced, growing environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Be a Strategic Partner: Collaborate with local leadership to develop and execute HR strategies that align with our business goals and global policies.

  • Own Employee Relations: Act as the go-to person for employee issues, feedback, and conflict resolution. Create an open and positive work environment where employees feel supported.

  • Manage the Employee Lifecycle: From recruitment to onboarding to offboarding, you’ll ensure a smooth process for everyone.

  • Support Talent Development: Identify growth opportunities for team members, work on performance reviews, and ensure everyone has a clear development path.

  • Local HR Operations: Handle day-to-day HR tasks like payroll coordination, benefits administration, and ensuring legal compliance, while leveraging the global team’s resources for more complex issues.

  • Company Culture & Engagement: Organize events, activities, and initiatives that foster team spirit, making sure the team feels connected and motivated.

  • Drive Recruitment Efforts: Lead the hiring process for the local team, ensuring a smooth, positive candidate experience and helping find the best fit for our culture.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Eager to Grow: You’re ready to take on more responsibility and learn quickly. Experience is great, but what’s more important is your drive to grow in HR.

  • Independent but Collaborative: You’re able to manage local HR operations independently, but also work well with the global HR team to align on policies and processes.

  • Strong People Skills: You know how to build relationships with employees at all levels. You’re approachable and can resolve conflicts with empathy and fairness.

  • Organized and Detail-Oriented: You can manage multiple tasks and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.

  • Proactive Problem Solver: You anticipate challenges and find creative solutions. You’re comfortable making decisions when needed, but you also know when to seek advice.

  • Team Player: You love being part of a close-knit team, and you’re passionate about making the workplace a great environment for everyone.

Why Join Us?

  • Grow with Us: Be a part of a small, fast-growing team with the support of a large global organization.

  • Autonomy and Support: You’ll have the freedom to make an impact locally, while being backed by a global People team for resources and guidance.

  • Opportunities to Lead: As we grow, there will be opportunities to take on more responsibility and shape the HR function locally.

  • Great Work Environment: A collaborative, friendly team that values your input and ideas.

If you’re excited about the chance to build and grow with us, we’d love to hear from you!

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years in HR, with experience in strategic HR partnering, employee relations, performance management, and talent management.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to align HR strategies with business goals and provide guidance to leaders on talent management, organizational development, and change management.

  • Operational Excellence: Strong understanding of HR operations, with the ability to manage day-to-day HR processes while identifying and implementing process improvements.

  • Employee Relations: Proficient in managing complex employee relations issues, with a strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze HR data and metrics to inform decision-making and measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives.

  • Project Management: Experience in managing HR projects from concept to implementation, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment, with a proactive and flexible approach to problem-solving.

  • Cultural Awareness: Sensitivity to cultural differences and the ability to work effectively in a diverse and international team.

  • Proficiency in Czech: Fluency in Czech, both written and spoken, is essential for this role, as clear communication with local teams is required.
