Taboola is looking for a People Insights & Data Analytics Director to initiate, implement and lead data driven processes and projects, as part of the Taboola Global People Operations team. The role incumbent will tackle strategic problems and implement research methodologies to drive people oriented processes.
What are some of the things you do on a day-to-day basis?
Strategic Leadership & Project Management:
- Initiate and run analytical projects, ranging from proactive, complex, long-term deliverables to reactive, quick insights that impact immediate decisions.
- Develop and execute the overall HR analytics strategy in alignment with business goals.
- Act as an internal consultant by analyzing and recommending solutions to key business partners relating to people data.
- Champion data-driven decision-making within HR and across the organization, taking the initiative to deliver proactive data solutions.
- Demonstrate expertise in quantitative analysis to inform, influence, support, and execute Taboola’s strategic goals in Talent Acquisition and Talent Growth.
- Strong project management skills.
Data Management & Governance:
- Establish data governance and quality standards.
- Create a clear methodology to collect and maintain data.
- Research, correlate, and coordinate HR systems and processes (hiring data, annual review infrastructure, salary data, etc.).
- Identify data-driven markers and build processes for success in hiring and retention.
- Experience with data management and having a strong understanding of data structures.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of HR analysts.
- Provide training to HRBPs to empower them to make data-driven decisions to support the business.
- Proven experience leading and managing global teams.
Technical Skills & Analysis:
- Good understanding of statistical analysis, quantitative methods, and the ability to gather and interpret relevant data and information.
- Experience with all types of relevant programs such as SQL and HRIS systems, as well as advanced Excel skills and any other related programs.
- Solid understanding of data visualization principles.
- Experience with and passion for generative AI solutions, including their application in people analytics, process automation, and decision support.
Communication & Collaboration:
- Experience presenting to executive leadership.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify and address complex issue
What are the skills a People Insights & Data Analytics Director needs to have?
- 7-10+ years in HR analytics, workforce planning, or people data roles within a large/global company.
- Proven experience of leading and developing global analytics teams.
- Strong background in HR systems (e.g. Success Factors, Greenhouse, or similar) and data integration.
- Experience driving HR data governance and ensuring data accuracy across multiple systems.Hands-on experience with predictive modeling, attrition analysis, and talent analytics.
- Previous experience working with executive teams to drive data-informed HR strategies.
- An ability to influence and secure buy in for Talent led initiatives
- Passion for building diverse and inclusive teams
- Adaptability and resilience: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and challenges
- Growth mindset: A desire to continuously learn and develop new skills and knowledge in the field of talent acquisition
- High level of English - written and verbal.
- Ability to derive insights from data to drive business decisions. People data is a plus.
- Able to identify trends, uncover workforce challenges, and develop data-driven solutions.
- Skilled at turning complex analyses into actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to juggle long-term analytical projects with short-term business needs.
- Proficiency in HR analytics tools (HRIS, ATS, workforce planning tools).
- Strong command of SQL, Excel (advanced functions), and visualization tools (Tableau or similar).
- Experience with data governance, data structures, and maintaining data quality.
- Proven track record of recommending business decisions with predictive modeling and trend analysis.
- Experience with generative AI solutions for HR analytics, automation, and decision-making.
- Experience leading and mentoring HR analysts or cross-functional teams.
- Ability to train and upskill business stakeholders and HRBPs on using data effectively in business decisions.
- Strong stakeholder management & consulting skills, acting as a trusted advisor to HR and business leaders.
- Experience presenting data insights to senior leadership and influencing strategic decisions.
