Job Description

NOTE: This is a hybrid position, working from our Birmingham, AL office 1-2 days per week. 

As a People Generalist at Daxko, you will focus on Team Member Relations and serve as the administrator for several critical human resources functions and workforce management, including compensation, training, diversity, team member engagement, leave and attendance tracking, and team member records. This role involves facilitating and communicating organizational policies and programs, ensuring labor law and regulatory compliance, and providing internal support to business lines. You will play a critical role in fostering a positive work environment and ensuring consistent and fair treatment of all team members.

In your day-to-day, you will:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for team member relations issues, including managing conflict resolution, conducting investigations, and advising management on best practices. Ensure fair and consistent application of company policies. 
  • Provide ongoing guidance and support to managers on performance management processes, including coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions. Assist in developing and implementing performance improvement plans.
  • Communicate and enforce organizational policies and programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations 
  • Keep up to date on employment laws and HR best practices to enhance the team member experience 
  • Manage and maintain team member records with a focus on confidentiality and data integrity 
  • Partner with the People Development team to coordinate training initiatives and special projects related to team member development and engagement 
  • Lead initiatives to improve team member engagement, ensuring that People practices align with the company’s culture and values 
  • Provide support and partnership to business lines, ensuring that People strategies are aligned with business needs 

Qualifications

Required Education / Skills / Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field OR equivalent professional experience 
  • Two (2) to four (4) years of professional HR experience, with a strong focus on team member relations and performance management 
  • Experience with HRIS systems
  • Strong expertise in team member relations, with proven experience in conflict resolution, investigations, and performance management 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to advise and influence managers and team members effectively 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Thorough understanding of Human Resource practices and employment laws, with the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure compliance and best practices 
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to maintain confidential information 
  • Excellent customer service skills 

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification 
  • Previous experience in a corporate HR environment 
  • Experience with data analysis
