People & Culture Assistant

Are you just starting your career and looking for a varied and interesting job within People & Culture? If yes is the answer, this could be the role for you! As People & Culture Assistant you will be working on a challenging range of tasks and ad-hoc activities on a daily basis - no two days are the same. Your team consists of the People & Culture Manager, Recruitment Manager and People & Culture Advisor.

The role

Every day is different with ad-hoc duties, and some of the tasks include but are not limited to:

HR

  • Being the first point of contact for employees
  • HR administration among which:
    • Preparing and sending job offers to candidates
    • Setting up the onboarding programme for new joiners
    • Managing absence/sickness and making sure it is tracked in our system
    • Updating salaries, including yearly reviews and other monthly payroll admin, such as employee benefits
  • Writing and sending our internal newsletter
  • Supporting Learning & Development activities
  • Updating and keeping track of policies, including the personnel handbook

Recruitment

  • Recruitment administration, including mailbox management, incoming (telephone) applications, and writing job descriptions
  • Screening candidates including CV reviewing
  • Planning virtual and face to face interviews
  • First point of contact for study associations
  • Organising and coordinating (campus) recruitment events such as Business Days, Business Courses and In-House Events
  • Content management of the website and social media channels – including posting job adverts and any other branding and marketing projects

Who can apply?

For this role, we are looking for a motivated colleague looking to kick start their career in the People & Culture environment. For this role you will need:

  • Good command of both Dutch and English (spoken and written)
  • Experience with MS Office
  • Ambition to learn about the HR and Recruitment environment
  • To be service-orientated, with a passion for people
