Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks a PCB Designer to serve as a Circuit Card Designer on our team in Huntsville, AL.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform high speed digital circuit design and signal integrity analysis.  Use signal integrity simulations for multiple high-speed standards like 100G Ethernet, DDR4, PCIe.
  • Focus on electrical design, simulation, and verification/validation testing of high-speed printed circuit board design and electronic systems.
  • Work with a group of people to solve general Electrical Engineering problems using failure analysis, simulation, and validation activities throughout product development cycles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including other engineering disciplines.
  • Provide design guidelines and support for system architecture design, board layout, product bring-up, debug, validation, and factory builds.
  • Generate board layout requirements to meet design performance and design for manufacture (DFM) requirements.
  • Perform circuit analysis in SPICE or similar tool like LTspice or ICAP.
  • Perform post board layout signal integrity analysis.
  • Perform digital high speed design verification and validation including measurements.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim or final U.S. Secret clearance post-start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with Schematics capture, PCB design, layout and routing with Mentor Graphics or another PCB design suite.
  • Experience designing, testing, and integrating a digital circuit card assembly.
  • Experience gathering data and performing a Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA).
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in electrical engineering, or computer engineering.  

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • MS Electrical Engineering, MS Computer Engineering.
  • Aerospace design experience.
  • Experience in high-speed digital circuit design with ability to perform signal integrity simulations for multiple high-speed standards like 100G Ethernet, DDR4, PCIe.
  • Experience in Hardware-Software Integration and Validation.
  • Ability to develop design verification plan and perform system integration.
  • Experience in processor board design or complex digital design including processors or FPGAs.
  • Experience performing circuit analysis in SPICE or similar tool like LTSpice or ICAP.
  • Familiarity with high-speed serial interface protocol like ethernet, PCIe.
  • Strong understanding of PCB in design for manufacturing (DFM).
  • Experience in using Siemens (formally Mentor Graphics).
  • Experience with HyperLynx tools for SI and PI analysis.

Summary Pay Range:

Associate (level 2): 79,900 – 108,100

Mid-level (level 3): 96,050 – 129,950
