Responsible for operating appropriate telecommunication equipment to provide communication services for the entire hospital.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. One (1) year experience in customer service.

1. Operates telecommunication equipment to provide communication service to hospital departments, patient care areas, and physicians.
2. Receives incoming calls and connects them as requested.
3. Monitors alarms such as fire, emergency, security, and telecommunications equipment.
4. Announces emergency codes and activates pagers and other communication devices.
5. Relays and route written and verbal messages.
6. Identifies problems with communication devices and takes appropriate action.
7. Documents required information in appropriate logs
8. Utilizes crisis intervention skills when dealing with callers/emergency situations.
