Who are we hiring?
The Payroll Tax and Accounting Analyst is responsible for managing payroll tax reporting and filing in partnership with ADP. The Analyst oversees payroll accounting reporting as it relates to Finance and Internal and external audits. The Analyst is an individual who can work well in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
What will you do?
- Responsible for the US and Canadian Payroll Tax Filings
- Tax Vendor Management
- Coordinate State Tax Registrations with Corporate Tax department
- Lead for responding to Tax Agency Inquiries/Audit Requests
- Monitor Tax Tracers (penalties, interest/refunds)
- Coordinate Unemployment Rate Updates
- Process payroll adjustments
- Audit of Month End, Quarter End, and Year End taxes and reconciling/audit of quarterly federal, state and local tax returns including the federal 941’s and the state and local equivalents.
- Coordinate the reconciliation of W2’s for multiple companies and the generating, distribution, and filing of Canadian T4 and RL1 Forms.
- Manage Third Party tax provider process for the preparation of Tax Filings, creating wire and check requests for Corp Finance.
- Complete Payroll Costing on weekly basis
- Work closely with finance to research and resolve general ledger reconciling items
- Provide customer support to MSG employee inquiries which includes researching calls/inquiries from management and employees pertaining to their withholding
- Internal and SOX Audit requests
What do you need to succeed?
- Experience in Cloud payroll, tax processing and reporting expertise
- BA/BS degree in accounting/finance or equivalent work experience
- Working knowledge of HCM or Oracle Fusion
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, knowledge of payroll principles and best practices
- Advanced proficiency using MS Office: Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
- Advanced knowledge of payroll tax at the federal, state and local levels
- Ability to analyze information and use logic and process to address work-related issues and problems
- Collaborative in nature
- Excellent communication skills, problem solving and analytical skills
- Extremely detail oriented
- A passion for customer service and bringing that to life within the function
- Knowledge of ADP Smart Compliance a plus

Pay Range
$83,000—$150,000 USD
