Arxada is looking for a Payroll Specialist. This role will be based in San Jose, Costa Rica.

We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our North America Payroll team. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for processing payroll and addressing inquiries for our North America based employees, ensuring that all related regulations and legal requirements are met. You will also be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries, bonuses, and other compensation payments to our employees.

Key Accountabilities:

• Ensure compliance with North America payroll, adhere to federal, state, and local tax regulations and legal requirements.
• Process biweekly, semimonthly, and monthly payroll for North America based employees accurately and timely.
• Maintain and update employee payroll records including setting up new hires, processing terminated employees, and monitoring time off balances in the payroll systems.  
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and various payroll related matters; escalate to supervisor when necessary.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure operations and payroll processing aligns such as timely and accurate processing of employee benefits.   
• Partner with Finance Team in generating and delivering accurate reports.
• Assist with audits both internal and external by providing payroll documentation when requested.
• Review employee timesheets, overtime, and paid time off requests in addition to following up with appropriate personnel to ensure accuracy prior to payroll processing.     
• Assist with upcoming integration with a new payroll vendor and/or new payroll platform.
• Help identify opportunities within the payroll department to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. 
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualification (Education/Experience):

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in North America payroll processing.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others.
• Proficiency in relevant payroll systems – ADP WFN.

Preferred Qualification (Education/Experience):

• ADP Global View
• UKG Ready
• Timekeeping experience with a variety of systems.
