The Role: How you'll make an impact at Personio
Become part of our growing Sales Team at Personio as a Payroll Account Executive and drive the success of our successful product forward. After 1.5 years on the market and over 1,000 customers, the next phase of growth is now ahead - we're scaling further to meet the high demand. Join us and shape the future of Payroll at Personio!
This position can be filled in Munich or Berlin - (hybrid with 2 days in the office with the team) or remotely in Germany.
Role Responsibilities: What you'll do

  • Building the Market: You will play an important role in building and strategically developing the German market for Personio Payroll Revolution.
  • Customer Acquisition: You will sell Personio Payroll together with our Account Managers to existing customers as an addition to the HRM or together with our Account Executives to new customers, to engage them with the complete HRM + Payroll package.
  • Payroll Expertise: As an expert and trusted advisor for our Personio Payroll product, you will guide customers through the entire sales process. During your onboarding, we will thoroughly train you in Payroll and our Payroll software - prior experience is not required.
  • Sales Expertise: In addition to your expertise, you will use your sales skills to qualify customer needs, involve various stakeholders, and successfully close the customer project using MEDDIC.
  • Lead Generation: Pipeline is Lifeline! For both new and existing customers, you will work with so-called warm leads (no cold calling). Together with the marketing team, you will drive pipeline generation, e.g., through webinars or onsite events.
  • Product Collaboration: Your feedback will help our product development team further tailor the Payroll product to meet our customers' needs - thereby enabling us to win even more customers in the future.
  • Tool Expertise: You will keep track of everything in our CRM Salesforce and create accurate weekly forecasts. You will communicate with our customers using G Suite, Zoom, and Gong.


Role Requirements: What you need to succeed

  • Sales Experience: You have more than 2 years of experience in end-to-end sales of SaaS solutions (preferably in Payroll and Finance) and are familiar with tools such as Salesforce, Zoom, and Gong.
  • Ambition: You are a "hunter" through and through, proactively seeking ways to exceed your goals.
  • Analytical Skills: You know your input and output KPIs and pay close attention to them.
  • Curiosity: You are eager to learn and quickly dive into new and complex topics and products.
  • Project Management: You lead your customer projects on an equal footing with stakeholders from Payroll, HR, Finance, IT, and C-level.
  • Communication: You are a native German speaker or possess an equivalent C2 level and speak fluent English as a business language.
  • Team Player: You are a team player who supports colleagues in achieving common goals and is in constant communication with internal teams such as Product, Marketing, and Customer Operations.
