The Payroll Analyst position at is an exciting opportunity for those who thrive in dynamic and detail-oriented environments. This role ensures payroll is processed with speed and accuracy, serving as a crucial liaison between employees and third-party payroll vendors. It involves auditing employee pay records and reconciling totals across various departments and locations, ensuring compliance with company-specific pay policies. Additionally, the position coordinates third-party payroll system implementations and upgrades, interprets complex pay policies, and verifies compliance with federal and state payroll requirements. The role also offers the chance to assist with audits, document payroll processes, and train payroll staff, making it a comprehensive and impactful position within the company.

Skills and Experience we desire

Responsibilities:

  • Processing payroll on time including but not limited to calculating wages, deductions, and withholdings.
  • Ensures the accurate and timely submission of payroll taxes and local filings.
  • Processes off-cycle payroll payments including but not limited to bonuses, commissions, and terminations.
  • Maintains accurate records and documentation related to payroll transactions while handling confidential information.
  • Remains updated on payroll regulations and ensures compliance with all relevant local laws, regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to improve efficiency in payroll administration.
  • Creates and updates onboarding documents and delivers presentations to newly hired employees.
  • Generates and analyzes reports and audits to ensure payroll accuracy and identify potential errors before payroll run.
  • Navigates payroll issues, projects and new payment polices and provide support during audits and reviews.
  • Serves as the point of contact for employees regarding payroll inquiries and issue resolution using the Service Now system.
  • Works to streamline and improve payroll processes.
  • Partners with multiple vendors who support, payroll, tax and pension plans holding them accountable to their SLA’s and contracts.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of payroll experience required.
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in payroll software SAP and ADP Streamline preferred.
  • Proficiency in Workday HRIS software preferred.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft applications, especially Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
