As a Payments Collections Specialist within our Payments team, you will manage collections and resolve disputes to protect the firm's financial interests. You will collaborate with clients and internal partners, navigating complex systems to ensure efficient and effective outcomes.
Job responsibilities:

  • Locates and contacts clients to collect outstanding payments via phone and email.
  • Handles skip-tracing assignments and assesses the severity of delinquency.
  • Negotiates payment arrangements and acts as a liaison with internal teams.
  • Requests account terminations and manages the return or billing of rented equipment.
  • Uses the firm's proprietary Collections system (PCM) and navigates multiple technologies.
  • Documents account activities thoroughly and concisely.
  • Prioritizes work efficiently and makes quick, effective decisions.
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory and department practices.


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration or related discipline.
  • Experience in banking, commercial, or payment processing industries.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated personal excellence, including punctuality, integrity, and accountability.


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Experience in commercial accounts receivable collection.
  • Merchant Acquiring experience in a front-line support role.
  • Proven self-starter and results-oriented team player.
