The Payment Solutions Specialist will be critical in managing and optimizing payment systems, ensuring smooth transaction processing, and enhancing the customer payment experience. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and experience in the online gambling or fintech sector. You will collaborate with internal teams and external payment providers to maintain operational excellence across multiple markets.
Responsibilities
Payment Processing Oversight:
- Review and analyze daily and monthly payment processing accounts receivable (AR) by market (Nordics, Germany, Poland, Canada, Netherlands, and others as required).
- Identify, investigate, and report errors or discrepancies in payment processing, ensuring timely resolution.
- Prepare detailed reports for internal stakeholders, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Perform regular site testing of payment functionalities across desktop, mobile, and app platforms to ensure a seamless user experience.
Dashboard Monitoring:
- Monitor payment dashboards in real-time to track transaction performance, success rates, and system health across all markets.
- Escalate anomalies or critical issues (e.g., payment failures, delays) to the appropriate teams or providers.
Provider Collaboration:
- Act as the primary point of contact for payment service providers (PSPs), liaising with them to resolve issues identified during checks or dashboard monitoring.
- Conduct investigations with PSPs into declined transactions, fraud flags, or technical glitches, ensuring minimal disruption to customers.
- Support the onboarding of new payment methods or providers, ensuring alignment with market demands (e.g., Trustly or Swish for Nordics, iDEAL for the Netherlands).
Payment System Management:
- Maintain and update payment option settings, including currency configurations, regional preferences, and PSP integrations.
- Stay informed of regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, regulatory standards) and ensure payment settings comply with local laws in each market.
Skills & Qualifications
Essential:
- 2+ years of experience in a payments, fintech, or product specialist role, ideally within the online gambling or e-commerce industry.
- Strong analytical skills with experience reviewing financial data (e.g., payments reports, transaction logs).
- Proficiency in monitoring dashboards or payment systems (e.g.Tableau).
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external providers.
- Knowledge of payment methods and PSPs relevant to the Nordics (e.g., Trustly, Zimpler), with familiarity in Germany (Sofort), Poland (Przelewy24), Canada (Interac), and the Netherlands (iDEAL).
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Desirable:
- Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g., gambling, finance) and understanding of compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with site testing tools.
