We currently have a vacancy for a Documentation & Training Specialist, fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Valletta, Malta. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.
Your tasks
- Draft product/project technical and non-technical documentation;
- Preparation of training material;
- Maintenance of relevant documentation;
- Draft other types of documentation, such as: guidelines, instructions, manuals, etc;
- Coordinate and moderate training sessions in support of change management activities.
- University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in IT;
- Experience with documenting solution capabilities;
- Experience with producing operational manuals, technical guides, business requirements documents, functional specifications documents and project/product documentation;
- Experience with ensuring consistency among documents and drafts, and accuracy of references, footnotes, and captions;
- Experience with documentation maintenance for optimal use and retrieval;
- Experience with identifying training needs based on the change impact of the project/product;
- Experience with project and product training programs;
- Experience with creating content and method of training materials, and third-party training material;
- Experience in providing training in different modalities, including classroom and online;
- Experience with monitoring and reporting training;
- Experience as an editor and proof-reader roles by participating in peer reviews;
- Experience with the creation of ‘How-To’ videos and presentations;
- Excellent command of the English language.
