Who are we?
Volt Lines is the only technology-enabled player in the Turkish market competing against legacy incumbents. Volt Lines reduces emissions and traffic by turning premium 16-seater buses into a viable alternative to single-occupancy vehicles.
What do we do?
In Istanbul, over 50,000 buses operate at 31% efficiency. These buses, which contribute to the city's traffic with empty seats, could also be the solution to this problem. Volt Lines is the only shuttle service provider that has both software and transport service. This allows for optimal harmonization of the software and operation resulting in the creation of innovative experiences and services. Notable examples of these innovative services include DRT and Marketplace. DRT (short for Demand-Responsive Transport) was covered by a Harvard Business School case study that is being taught at the MBA program in Boston. Marketplace on the other hand allows companies to sell empty seats on their buses to neighboring passengers who are going in the same direction at the same time.

The Pathfinder Program at Volt Lines offers a dynamic, hands-on experience across key areas of our business. Through a structured rotation, you'll gain in-depth knowledge and practical skills with exposure to customer-facing operations, strategic planning, and fieldwork. By the end of the program, you'll be equipped to take on a variety of high-skill roles within the organization.
- 1 Month: Onboarding
Begin your journey with an engaging onboarding experience. You'll learn about our company values, meet your colleagues, and get familiar with the tools and systems you'll use throughout the program. This month will provide a solid foundation for the rest of your rotations.
- 1 Month: Live Operations (Call Center)
Dive into our call center operations, where you’ll support both passengers and drivers. This phase will expose you to real-time problem-solving, managing inquiries, and ensuring smooth communication between drivers, passengers, and support teams.
- 4 Months: Field Operations
Spend this period in the field, working directly with our teams on the ground. You'll gain hands-on experience in managing operations, monitoring performance, and supporting drivers, while learning the logistics and challenges of day-to-day field management.
- 4 Months: Central Operations
Shift to our central operations team where you’ll focus on planning, routing, and training. In this phase, you'll support the strategic elements of our business, working on route optimization, scheduling, and helping to implement training programs that ensure our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
- 4 Months: Customer Success
In this final phase, you’ll work closely with our customer success team to drive positive outcomes for both passengers and drivers. You’ll focus on problem resolution, improving user experiences, and ensuring satisfaction to maintain strong customer relationships.
- 4 Months: Product
In this phase, you’ll immerse yourself in the heart of Volt Lines’ innovation. Working closely with the Product Team, you'll gain exposure to the lifecycle of new features, from ideation and market research to development and launch. You’ll help prioritize product features based on user feedback, track key metrics to measure success, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with our customers' needs and business goals. By the end of this rotation, you’ll have a deeper understanding of how our products evolve and how we innovate to stay ahead in the market.
What happens after the program?
After completing the program, you will have gained a comprehensive understanding of various operational functions and hands-on experience in critical areas of the business. Together, we’ll assess your strengths, interests, and performance throughout the program to determine the best fit for your future role. Whether you gravitate toward field operations, customer success, or another function, we'll work with you to identify a career path that aligns with your skills and ambitions, ensuring a successful long-term career with us.
- Recent graduate (Bachelor's degree) in Business Administration, Engineering, Science, or related fields.
- Strong interest in urban mobility, transportation, and technology.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to showcase it.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Fluent in Turkish and English.
